As a key component of the vehicle body structure, the rear panel not only affects the overall tail styling aesthetics of the vehicle, but also plays a crucial role in the NVH (noise, vibration and sound insulation roughness) performance and the rigidity of the vehicle body. The KQ5152 rear panel part has a complex shape, featuring deep depth, sharp edges and high forming difficulty.

Overcoming difficulties and presenting numerous technical highlights

In response to the strict size tolerance and surface quality requirements of the KQ5152 project, the technical R&D team of SIKAIDA conducted multiple rounds of optimization of the forming process based on CAE simulation analysis.

Ultra-high forming accuracy: To address the rebound problem that often occurs in the rear panel, the project team employed the "surface compensation + parametric adjustment" technology. This ensured that the contour and mating surface of the final part reached an accuracy of millimeter level, perfectly meeting the assembly requirements of the complete vehicle body.

Zero defect in surface quality: The rear panel is an externally visible component and has extremely strict tolerance for defects such as dents and scratches. During the debugging stage of the mold, by optimizing the layout of the stretching ribs and the matching rate, a smooth and defect-free surface quality of the part was achieved, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the rear panel.

Structural Reliability Design: This set of molds has been designed with a focus on meeting the high-speed stamping requirements of the production line. It employs high-strength cast iron and a self-lubricating guide pillar and guide sleeve mechanism to ensure the stability and durability of the molds during long-term and high-load operation.

Customer-oriented, collaborative development yields fruitful results

During the development of the KQ5152 project, SIKAIDA maintained close collaboration with the client's project team. From structural design, surface processing, to final vehicle assembly verification, every step adhered to the full-process quality management. The client's acceptance team stated during the final inspection: "The first mold closure success rate of this rear panel mold and the stability of the parts are excellent, demonstrating SIKAIDA's profound expertise in the manufacturing of large cover molds."

Looking to the future

The successful delivery of this KQ5152 rear panel mold not only further enriches SIKAIDA's manufacturing experience in body panel mold production, but also lays a solid foundation for subsequent承接 of similar complex structure mold projects. The company will continue to uphold the craftsmanship spirit of "constantly striving for excellence and continuous innovation", providing more competitive mold products and full life cycle services for global automotive original equipment manufacturers.
